In a fight that will be compared to Ali/Frazier, Yankees/Red Sox, Mankind/Undertaker and Goku/Vegeta, two titans in the animal kingdom squared off.
The epic match went down in Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University campus, with cars flying by and students watching in amazement. The snakes remained undeterred.
The python measured out at a whopping 10-12 feet in length, while the cobra was undersized yet packed a venomous punch. It’s a fight that will go down in history…and will live eternally on YouTube.
The video does not capture the entire fight, as it was said to have lasted upwards of 30 minutes. In the apex of the video, you see the python wrap its massive body around the cobra in its classic go-to finishing move. However, the cobra isn’t dubbed the king for nothing.
The King Cobra sank its venomous fangs inside the opponent and escaped to the surrounding trees. The python stayed lying in the street as animal control moved it somewhere safer.
The cobra was captured hours later and said to be alive and well. The same cannot be said for the python, whose chances of survival are “slim.”
